Nazir Mansuri, born in 1965, is a well known Gujarati fiction writer. His published works are a collection of short stories Dhal Kachbo which has received nationwide critical acclaim and two massive novels Chandal Chakaravo and Veshpalto have been published recently. His story “Bhuthar” was selected for The Best of the Nineties’ Fiction brought out by Katha Foundation, Delhi and won the Katha Award for creative fiction in 1997. In 1999 he received Sanskruti Pratishthan Award.
