Vappala Balachandran is a columnist and author who was Special Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat and member of the 'High level Committee' appointed by the Government of Maharashtra to enquire into the police response during 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai. His book "National Security & Intelligence Management -A New Paradigm" (Indus) was published in 2014 while his second book " A Life in Shadow: The Secret Story of ACN Nambiar-A Forgotten Anti-Colonial Warrior" is being released in December 2016(Roli).
