Preeti Das is Gujarat's first woman stand-up comedian and has worked as a journalist and researcher for over 16 years. She won the Ladlee Media Award at the national and the South-Asia level (2015-16) for stories documenting the life of gang-rape survivors. She is the co-founder of an all-woman stand-up comedy collective Mahila Manch and is heading the Department of Liberal Arts and Mass Communication at Karnavati University.
