Gujarati Sahitya Mahotsav

The flagship festival — the most popular and largest literary event dedicated exclusively to Gujarati literature. Both young, upcoming and celebrated authors and poets participate. Sessions range from classical literature to new-age experiments. Its discussions, debates and audience interactions have become trendsetters for literary events across Gujarat.

Indian Screenwriters' Festival (ISF)

Hindi, English

The first and only festival in India celebrating writing for film, TV and web series. Held in exclusive partnership with the Screenwriters Association of India (SWA). Features masterclasses, workshops, debates, screenings and celebrity interactions on the craft of writing for screen. India’s biggest screen-writing names participate.

Fountainhead

Dedicated to literary creativity in languages other than Gujarati — English, Hindi, Urdu, Sindhi, Bengali, Malayalam and more. Discussions in one or two languages allow broader participation. Features top national and international fiction and non-fiction writers. A key reason non-Gujarati audiences connect deeply with GLF.

Tabariya

‘Tabariya’ — a Gujarati word of endearment for children. A dedicated literary and performance space for young adults and children up to 15 years. Discussions, theatre, competitions, quizzes, readings, workshops and storytelling. School partnerships bring hundreds of children each edition. An instant and sustained success.

ArtFest

A meeting place of art and literature in Ahmedabad — the World Heritage City. Connects heritage, architecture, sculpture, painting, photography and commissioned installations. Sessions on art and architecture feature leading Indian artists. Makes art accessible to a massive audience — one of the largest public art shows in Gujarat.

Bizzlit Fest

InDiFest — Indian Diaspora Festival

Celebrating the Indian diaspora experience and its literary output. Moonrise — Evenings @ GLF

Curated evening performances commissioned by the GLF team. Gujarat’s literary heritage comes alive in contemporary fusion and pop formats — Rock Dayro, classical music, theatrical performances, stand-up comedy, dance and more. Has featured Irshad Kamil, Vidya Balan, Arvind Vegda, Kaajal Oza Vaidya and many others.

SWAD — The Food Festival

Food is integral to Gujarati identity and culture. SWAD celebrates forgotten, rare and lesser-known Gujarati delicacies — stories and literature woven around every dish. Participants are curated and invited for a surprising, authentic spread. Thousands of attendees have all their meals at the venue.

A unique pitch platform connecting aspiring writers with publishers and producers. Authors pitch book ideas, article concepts, research projects, film scripts and web series stories directly to decision-makers. The first-ever public author-publisher meeting point in Gujarat.
